Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Flipvo, LLC (“ballparkly,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use ballparkly.com. We’ve tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@ballparkly.com.

The short version

When you ask to talk to a pro, we share your contact information and project details with one local contractor so they can reach out about your project. That’s the core of how ballparkly works, and it’s the most important thing to know about your privacy here. We also use a handful of trusted service providers (listed below) to run the site.

Information we collect

From homeowners. You can get a ballpark without an account. We collect:

  • Photos you upload of the home repair or project you want estimated.
  • Project details — the trade/category, your answers to a few follow-up questions, and your ZIP code.
  • Contact details you give us when you save your ballpark or ask to talk to a pro: your email address, and optionally your phone number.
  • How you found us — if you arrived from a search result, an ad, or a link with campaign tags in the address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid), we keep those tags, the page you landed on, and when, and attach them to your estimate and, if you ask to talk to a pro, to that lead. Never the page you came from, your IP address, or anything that names you.

From contractors. When you create a contractor account, we collect:

  • Business and contact information — business name, owner name, email, phone, and the trades and areas you cover.
  • Account credentials — a password, which we store only in hashed (scrambled) form. If you sign in with Google instead, your account has no password with us unless you add one.
  • Google sign-in details — if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google tells us your name, your email address, whether Google has verified that address, and your Google account ID (a number that identifies your Google account). That’s all we ask Google for. We never see your Google password, and we don’t get access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, or files.
  • Payment information — a card on file, handled by our payment processor Stripe. We don’t store your full card number on our servers; Stripe does, and gives us a token plus limited details (like the card brand and last four digits).

Automatically. Like most websites, we collect some technical data — your IP address, browser type, and basic usage information — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix errors. We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages they read, whether they got a ballpark, and whether a pro was matched. Google Analytics gives your browser a random id in a cookie; we read that id when you save your ballpark so the match can be counted against the same visit. It never sends Google your email, phone, ZIP, photos, or the dollar figures of your estimate — only a coarse range bucket.

How we use your information

  • To generate your ballpark estimate from the photo and details you provide.
  • To connect you with a local contractor when you opt in to talk to a pro.
  • To send you your ballpark by email and, if you provided a phone number, to text you about your project.
  • For contractors: to deliver leads, send lead alerts by email and text, and bill you for leads and subscriptions.
  • To protect the service against spam, fraud, and abuse (for example, with reCAPTCHA and rate limits).
  • To operate, maintain, and improve ballparkly, and to comply with the law.

Who we share your information with

The contractor we match you with. This is the key disclosure:

When a homeowner opts in to talk to a pro, we share that homeowner’s contact information (email, and phone if given), ZIP code, and project details — including the uploaded photos and the estimate — with one exclusive local contractor. That contractor uses your information to contact you about your project. Once shared, the contractor’s own privacy practices apply to how they handle your details.

Service providers. We use a small set of trusted companies to run ballparkly. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • OpenAI — analyzes your uploaded photo and project details to generate the estimate. (Our AI provider is configurable; we currently use OpenAI.)
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) — securely stores your uploaded photos.
  • Stripe — processes contractor payments and stores card details.
  • Twilio — sends SMS text messages (lead alerts and project texts).
  • Resend — sends our emails (your ballpark, lead notifications, account email).
  • Google reCAPTCHA — helps us tell humans from bots on our forms. Google receives some device and usage data and may set cookies; see Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Sign-In — lets contractors sign in with a Google account instead of a password. It’s optional. If you use it, Google learns that you signed in to ballparkly; see Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Sentry — error monitoring that helps us find and fix bugs.
  • Google Analytics — site usage statistics (pages viewed, estimates started, ballparks saved, pros matched). It receives a random browser id, the pages you view, any campaign tags in the address, and coarse estimate ranges — never your contact details, photos, or exact dollar figures. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public. Business transfers. If ballparkly is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with a marketplace of bidding contractors — only the single pro you’re matched with.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the site work — for example, to keep your session and protect against cross-site request forgery. Google reCAPTCHA may also set cookies to fight spam, and Google Analytics sets cookies that give your browser a random id so we can count visits and see which pages lead to a ballpark. We don’t use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies; the site still works without the analytics ones.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal reasons. Photos and estimates are kept to operate and improve the product; contractor account and billing records are kept for as long as the account is active and as required for tax and accounting. You can ask us to delete your information (see “Your choices and rights”), and we’ll honor it unless we’re required to keep something.

Your choices and rights

  • Texts: reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.
  • Emails: use the unsubscribe link in our emails, or contact us. We may still send essential account or project messages.
  • Access, correction, and deletion: email us to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, California or other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.

To make any request, email hello@ballparkly.com. We may need to verify your identity first.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information — photos are stored privately and served through expiring signed links, passwords are hashed, and access is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Children

ballparkly is for adults (18+) and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll try to give clearer notice.
