Stucco repair in Brownsville

When Hurricane Dolly came ashore in July 2008, its inner eyewall pounded a path from South Padre Island through Port Isabel, Laguna Vista, Bayview, San Benito and Harlingen. Reports from those towns, the National Weather Service says, included roofs blown down and many cases of shingles, siding and wall cladding torn off.

Then the rain kept coming. By the morning of July 24, Brownsville had recorded 13.20 inches for the month, nearly 4 inches over its all-time July record of 9.43. Streets stood in water, and resacas filled to the banks and spilled over in places.

Dolly wasn't the worst the Valley remembers. The weather service calls Hurricane Beulah, in September 1967, the storm of record for longtime residents. Gusts reached 109 mph at the Brownsville airport before the instrument was bent, and floodwater rose to rooftops in parts of Harlingen.

Wall cladding torn off is on Dolly's damage list for a reason: a storm here can strip stucco, not just crack it. If a piece of your wall came off, the repair is a rebuild of that section, and a coat of paint over the edges won't keep out the next storm's rain.

Questions homeowners ask

How accurate is a photo estimate?
It’s a ballpark, not a quote. A photo tells us a lot about the type and size of the damage, but a local pro who walks the wall will always be more precise. Use our number as the range to expect before you start calling around.
What does stucco repair usually cost?
Small patch jobs often land in the low hundreds. Cracks across a whole wall, or water damage behind the stucco, can run into the thousands. Your photo and ZIP help us narrow it to a range that fits your area.
Do I need to know the square footage?
No. Take your best guess if you can, but if you’re not sure, just skip it — we’ll estimate the size from your photo and your answers.
Is this really free?
Yes. No signup, no credit card, no spam. We only make money if you choose to connect with a local pro — and that’s up to you.
What photo works best?
A clear shot of the damaged area in daylight, plus one from a few steps back so we can see how big it is. More photos help.
