Pressure washing in Augusta

Augusta-Richmond County draws a tight line around its storm drains. The county's guide to illicit stormwater discharges defines one as drainage of anything other than natural precipitation into the county's storm drain system. Detergents are on its list of liquid wastes that don't belong there, next to paint, oil and grease. It even flags plain tap water leaking into a storm drain, because the chlorine in it is harmful to the environment.

Water use has its own set of state rules, built as a ladder. Georgia's Environmental Protection Division declared a statewide Drought Response Level 1 on April 27, 2026, and in August 2026 it decided to keep that level in place. Level 1 is mostly a public information push, and outdoor watering of established landscapes stays allowed from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. EPD's fact sheet says Level 2 would prohibit non-commercial pressure washing, along with washing hard surfaces such as streets and sidewalks. At Level 3, commercial pressure washing is one of the business activities exempt from the rule.

Back on the county's side, the guide does allow some flows into the drains. Lawn watering, air conditioner condensate and foundation drains are on that list. So are street wash water and individual residential car washing. Washing your house, deck or driveway isn't.

Questions homeowners ask

How accurate is a photo estimate?
It’s a ballpark, not a quote. A photo gives us a good read on the surface and how dirty it is, but a pro who sees the whole property will always be more precise. Use our number as the range to expect before you start calling around.
How is pressure washing priced?
Mostly by the square footage and the surface — a concrete driveway is cheaper per foot than siding or a wood deck, which need a gentler soft-wash. Heavy algae, mildew, or oil stains add to it because they take detergent and a second pass.
Will pressure washing damage my siding or deck?
It can if it’s done at full pressure on the wrong surface — that’s why good pros soft-wash siding and wood. Our ballpark factors in the gentler method for delicate surfaces.
Is this really free?
Yes. No signup, no credit card, no spam. We only make money if you choose to connect with a local pro — and that’s up to you.
What photo works best?
One shot showing the full surface you want cleaned — the whole driveway or the side of the house — gives the best read on the size and how dirty it is.
