Stucco repair in Atlanta

If your Atlanta house has synthetic stucco, also called EIFS, the year it was clad matters a lot. Georgia adopted state amendments on EIFS that took effect October 1, 1997. They say a wall with EIFS has to have drainage, and over wood sheathing on wood framing there's no exception.

The older barrier-style walls are the ones that failed. Researchers looking at '90s failures noted those walls gave water that got in no way back out. Most of the worst damage traced back to flashing details.

Termites are the other half of the Atlanta stucco story. Georgia's Department of Agriculture says the state sits in the middle of the termite belt. Georgia's EIFS rules keep foam plastic on an outside wall at least 6 inches off the dirt where termite hazard is very heavy.

Walk around your house. If the stucco runs down into the mulch bed or the soil, pull the mulch back and have a pest pro take a look.

Questions homeowners ask

How accurate is a photo estimate?
It’s a ballpark, not a quote. A photo tells us a lot about the type and size of the damage, but a local pro who walks the wall will always be more precise. Use our number as the range to expect before you start calling around.
What does stucco repair usually cost?
Small patch jobs often land in the low hundreds. Cracks across a whole wall, or water damage behind the stucco, can run into the thousands. Your photo and ZIP help us narrow it to a range that fits your area.
Do I need to know the square footage?
No. Take your best guess if you can, but if you’re not sure, just skip it — we’ll estimate the size from your photo and your answers.
Is this really free?
Yes. No signup, no credit card, no spam. We only make money if you choose to connect with a local pro — and that’s up to you.
What photo works best?
A clear shot of the damaged area in daylight, plus one from a few steps back so we can see how big it is. More photos help.
