Junk removal in Naples

Before you drag an old dresser to the curb in unincorporated Collier County, check two numbers. The county says bulk items shouldn't run over 4 feet and/or 50 pounds. Furniture, bicycles and anything else too big for your green-lidded trash cart go out on your recycling collection day.

Waste Management and Waste Pro are the county's contracted haulers. They serve every part of the county but one: the City of Naples.

Some things need a call to the county 48 hours ahead: appliances, electronics, tires and car batteries. Take the door off an appliance and empty it. Pull the batteries out of electronics and bring those to a drop-off center. The monthly limit is four standard car tires and two vehicle batteries.

Leftovers from a small do-it-yourself job can ride in your cart. If they don't fit, keep them off the curb and haul them to the Collier County Landfill or the Immokalee Transfer Station.

The county's drop-off centers take up to one cubic yard of household bulk, except North Collier, which takes none. Most are open Monday through Saturday. The Carnestown center, out on Tamiami Trail East, opens only on the second Saturday of each month.

Curbside service stops just three days a year: the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are no make-up days, so a pickup that lands on one of them waits for your next scheduled day.

Questions homeowners ask

How accurate is a photo estimate?
It’s a ballpark, not a quote. A photo gives us a good read on how much there is, but a hauler who sees it in person will always be more precise. Use our number as the range to expect before you start calling around.
How is junk removal priced?
By how much of a truck your stuff fills — a few items cost far less than a full truckload. Heavy or special items like appliances and mattresses add a disposal fee.
Do you handle big or heavy items?
Most haulers do — appliances, furniture, mattresses, construction debris. Let us know in the quick questions so the ballpark includes the disposal fees.
Is this really free?
Yes. No signup, no credit card, no spam. We only make money if you choose to connect with a local pro — and that’s up to you.
What photo works best?
One shot that shows the whole pile, or the full room, gives the best read on how much there is.
