Junk removal in the West South Central states
A used or scrap tire can't go whole into a Texas landfill that takes household trash. State rules say it has to be processed first. The same rules keep car batteries, used oil filters and do-it-yourself motor oil out of those landfills. Arkansas allows tire disposal only at a permitted tire processor, a tire-collection center or a permitted landfill. When you buy new tires in Louisiana, the dealer must take your old ones, one for each tire sold, at the time of purchase, unless you choose to keep them.
