Exterior paint in Las Vegas

Before you pick a color in Las Vegas, check whether your HOA has a say. Nevada had about 4,000 registered homeowner associations in July 2026, the state's Real Estate Division reports. If your house is in one, its rules may cover exterior colors, so get the approved choices in writing before the painter buys a single gallon.

The houses themselves are young. Close to half have been built since 2000, and only about one in six is older than 1980. On a stucco house, the job is mostly washing, filling hairline cracks and coating the walls, with fascia and trim as the detail work. Old lead paint is rare on houses this new, though a ranch from the 1970s or earlier can still have it.

Heat runs the schedule. In a normal July, all but about five days hit 100 degrees, and those days run from May into September. Paint that goes onto a sun-baked wall can dry before it levels out, so summer crews tend to start at first light, work the shady side, and stop early. A crew that has to quit before noon needs more days to finish the same house.

Questions homeowners ask

How accurate is a photo estimate?
It’s a ballpark, not a quote. One photo rarely shows the whole house, so a local painter who walks the property will always be more precise. Use our number as the range to expect before you start calling around.
What changes the price of an exterior paint job?
Square footage is the biggest factor, then how much prep the old paint needs — bare wood or peeling paint takes far more work than a clean recoat. Trim, multiple stories, and a color change add to it too.
Do I need to measure my house?
A rough guess at the wall square footage helps a lot, but if you don’t know it, just skip the question and we’ll estimate from your photo.
Is this really free?
Yes. No signup, no credit card, no spam. We only make money if you choose to connect with a local pro — and that’s up to you.
What photo works best?
A shot of the front of the house, plus any sides showing wear like peeling or bare spots, gives us the best read.
