Junk removal in the East South Central states
From Kentucky to the Gulf Coast, one federal rule follows your old fridge. Under the Clean Air Act's Section 608 rules, the last stop for a household refrigerator, freezer or window air conditioner, usually a scrap metal recycler or landfill, has to make sure its refrigerant is recovered first. If the refrigerant is already out, that stop keeps a signed statement naming who recovered it and when. EPA doesn't accept a sticker as that proof.
