Junk removal in the Middle Atlantic states
All three Middle Atlantic states keep old TVs and computers out of the trash by law. In New York, households have been barred since January 1, 2015 from putting electronic waste out for disposal, and that covers TVs, computers, monitors, printers and game consoles. New Jersey's Electronic Waste Management Act makes it illegal to knowingly dispose of a used computer, monitor, laptop or television as solid waste. Pennsylvania's Covered Device Recycling Act bars putting a TV, computer or monitor in municipal trash.
